The 2010 BITA Ball

The theme for the 2010 BITA Ball was a Caribbean evening and when guests entered the ballroom after preliminary drinks they were greeted by a kaleidoscope of colour and an appropriate cocktail.
248 guests sat down to dinner at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Stratford upon Avon with psychedelic colour throughout the ballroom. The centrepiece on each table was a tall elegant crystal vase filled with blue water and brightly coloured flowers enhanced by t-lights on a mirror base. Company logo’s were highlighted around the room.
Before the festivities started Richard Close, the retiring President, handed over his insignia of office to Tim Waples, who welcomed everyone.
Following Grace, said by James Clark, guests tucked into a varied themed feast of food and fine wines. Laura London and Kyle Summers moved through the ballroom performing highly entertaining table magic throughout dinner.
After dinner comedian, John Evans, have a hilarious performance with his unique brand of comedy which left the guests calling for more. The compare this year was Joe Ridgley, who assisted Julie Waples, wife of the new president, in drawing raffle tickets for the charities draw, which this year was The Sick Children’s Trust, Crossroad’s and ChildLine. There were many wonderful prizes
purchased from the contributions made by several member companies into the Ball Raffle fund. BITA extends its thanks for the support of:

The 2009 BITA Ball

A new addition at this year's Ball was complimentary drinks for all guests held in the Atrium/Terrace Bar before the Ball commenced and Laura London and Kyle Summers entertained the guests with close-up magic tricks.
A distinctive 1960's theme welcomed 216 guests when they sat down to dinner at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Stratford upon Avon with psychedelic colour throughout the ballroom. The centrepiece on each table was a tall elegant crystal vase filled with purple water and brightly coloured flowers enhanced by t-lights on a mirror base. Company logo's and 1960's icons were highlighted around the room and explosions echoed throughout when each table set off their confetti cannons adding silver confetti and streamers to the psychedelic atmosphere.
Following Grace, said by James Clark, guests tucked into a traditional 1960's feast of Prawn Cocktail, Steak Diane and Profiteroles laced with Grand Marnier, fine wines and cheese platters. Laura London and Kyle Summers moved through the ballroom performing highly entertaining table magic throughout dinner.
After dinner Comedian Mike Osman gave a hilarious performance with his unique brand of comedy which left the guests calling for more. The compare this year was Ollie Spencer, who assisted Sue Close, wife of the President, in drawing raffle tickets for the charities draw, which this year was Help the Heroes, RNLI and the Air Ambulance Trust. This was very appropriate as several guests from Barloworld were embarking on a sponsored 'yomp' for the Help the Heroes charity. The amount raised during the evening totalled £2,515. There were many wonderful prizes purchased from the contributions made by several member companies into the Ball Raffle fund. BITA extends its thanks for the support of:
