BITA 2012 Golf Day results

BITA, the British Industrial Truck Association, held its 2012 Golf Day at Moor Hall Golf Club on 12th September 2012.

James Clark, BITA Secretary General, comments: “A total of 39 players set off in the morning in dry conditions and then experienced what we might say was 'mixed' weather... remaining dry on the whole but with intermittent heavy showers and a steady wind!  Thankfully, by the evening, conditions were once again tranquil, and since the Moor Hall Golf course was in excellent condition everyone thoroughly enjoyed their day’s golf over a full 18 holes.”

Supper was attended by 41 members and friends, and the Club Secretary, David Etheridge, who presented the prizes at the end of the evening.  David was instrumental in bringing BITA to Moor Hall eight years ago, and has worked tirelessly since then to make each successive Golf Day welcoming and enjoyable.  To recognise David's imminent retirement, BITA made a speacial presentation.

In a short speach at dinner James thanked all staff at the Club for looking after all players and guests very capably during the day.  “We look forward to returning to the beautiful Moor Hall Club venue for another memorable day out next year, on Wednesday 18th September 2013,” he concluded.

BITA would like to thank the generous sponsors of prizes awarded to players: Informa Exhibitions Ltd (IMHX 2013), Warehouse & Logistics News, Powercell Industrial Battery Engineers Ltd, Still Materials Handling Ltd and College Hill (BITA's communications consultancy).

The benefit of BITA's Social Activities

BITA focuses firmly on the economic, technical, safety and legislative issues concerning its members. However, BITA also keeps sight of the essential social aspect of any industry, and every year brings together industry members (and their guests) in settings such as the BITA Ball and Golf Day, where business can blend naturally with pleasure.
