The BITA Academy sets a new standard for apprenticeships in forklift truck engineering
The BITA Academy is a joint venture between two highly respected organisations: BITA (the British Industrial Truck Association) and City of Bristol College (one of the country s most respected forklift training centres) and is fully supported by the manufacturers, suppliers and service firms.
Working closely with forklift manufacturers, suppliers and service firms, the BITA Academy will help provide a steady supply of fresh new engineers to keep the industry running smoothly in the years ahead.
For students, the BITA Academy will provide not only high-quality training in essential maintenance and repair techniques but also the skills required to pursue a real career all the way to management level.
Exclusive apprentice pooling scheme
The BITA Academy will aim to include a pooling scheme for its graduate apprentices, benefiting both companies and apprentices.
By enabling apprentices to move freely between participating companies, they stand the best possible chance of securing a job even if their original sponsoring companies are restricted on headcount.
Pure forklift engineering course structure
The modern lift-truck market encompasses both internal combustion and electric power sources, which require different skills from maintenance engineers.
Thanks to pure FLT course content addressing both power sources, the BITA Academy graduates will be equipped in the best possible way to work with the full range of products on the market.
NEW! We've launched a dedicated BITA Academy website and are now taking equiries from prospective apprentices.
