The British Industrial Truck Association (BITA) has bid a fond farewell to one of its stalwarts, board director, Max Sammartano. Max, who has sat on the BITA board for the past two years, is stepping down from his role as managing director of Linde Material Handling UK after accepting a new role as Executive Vice President – Business Transformation at KION Group.
Taking his place at Linde Material Handling UK, is Ulrike Just, the former Vice President Business Development at Linde Material Handling, a position which saw her take responsibility for leading the development of the LMH EMEA Strategy 2027 for the last three years.
Ulrike (pictured below) will also replace Max on the BITA board.
BITA President Simon Barkworth said: “We are all very sorry to see Max step down from the board. His contribution to the association during the past two years has been significant and his experience, knowledge and wisdom of the material handling industry has been invaluable. I would like to take this opportunity to wish him well in his new role.
“I would also like to welcome Ulrike to the BITA board and to wish her well in her new role. She joins the BITA board at what is a crucial time for the industry and I’m sure she will bring a fresh perspective to things.”
