COVID-19 restrictions ease but caution still required

The latest phase in the easing of COVID-19 restrictions have now come into force. Step 3 on the Government’s roadmap has some implications for business, with the underlying message to people to remain cautious.

People can now meet outdoors in groups of up to 30, while up to six people from two households can meet indoors. People do not have to stay 2m apart from family or friends but they should consider the risks to themelves and the people they are with.

For work and business, the message remains that where possible, people should continue to work from home. Nevertheless, the easing of restrictions means business events can go ahead indoors although capacity limits will apply.

Overseas travel restrictions have eased but people are advised to check ahead to ee if their destination ins on the red, amber or green list. Remember, you should not travel to countries on the red or amber lists. If travelling to a country on a green list, check ahead for the rules that apply to that destination as testing or quarantine restrictions may apply.
